I will be running a new session of Bradley natural childbirth classes, http://www.bradleybirth.com , http://www.createdtobirth.ca , starting Sept -Nov 2013 for babies due in Nov/Dec. I have been teaching the Bradley method of childbirth classes for 6 years and have helped nearly 200 couples have a better birth experience.
The class is the most intensive birth class available, and a super great class for your partner! Whether you are having a hospital birth or a home birth, it is the class for you if you want the most information. We cover topics including relaxation and pain management, nutrition, exercise, positive communication between the parents and with the birth team, stages of labor, transition, natural alignment plateau, labor positions, prenatal psychology, breastfeeding, medications and interventions, as well as have labor rehearsals and relaxation practise on a weekly basis. We also watch MANY videos of natural birth and play some games, write birth plans and have a car seat specialist check your car seats. This class is great for anyone, whether you are having a hospital or homebirth, with doctors or midwives. Perfect for the first time pregnancy, or those who felt they didn't have a positive birth experience the first time. It is also the best class for Dads, as it focuses on how they need to be present and what their role is in pregnancy and birth. Dads often go into this class unknowing, and come out of this class 'owning' the pregnancy and birth. Price is for a couple for the full class, and includes a 120 page workbook, a lent 2 inch binder of information and a lent copy of Sue McCutcheon's book "Natural childbirth the Bradley Way".
